Boat ramps are for more than just launching boats - they are also great areas for catching fish!
Our excitement will often tell us to fire up the outboard and get out on the water, but by doing this we can easily forget how common it is for fish to naturally congregate around a launch area.
Your first catch may be closer than you think.
Thanks to Steve Rogers we have proof on why fish love hanging out around these parts of a fishery.
Instead of relying solely on "hook, line, and sinker", Steve has dedicated himself to understanding bass behavior through the use of underwater cameras as well to help make us all better anglers.
Check out the below video where Steve provides a great breakdown on what makes boat ramps such a good area to fish, how bass tend to behave around them, and where you can expect the fish to be.
